Who I am
Hi, I’m Davina, a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling - Provisional (MPCC-P) registered with the Canadian Professional Counselling Association (CPCA),
I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially when you’re not fully sure what to say or where to begin. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start.
At different points in life, things can feel unclear, overwhelming, or difficult to carry. It’s not always easy to understand what’s happening or why it feels the way it does.
In those moments, it’s common to feel like you should have answers, or like you’re somehow behind. But you’re not. You’re going through something real, and you deserve the space to pause, process, and be supported through it.
I’m someone who values creating a space where you can just be you, without pressure, without judgment, and without feeling like you need to show up a certain way. Life isn’t always linear, and it can come with a lot of ups and downs at different turns. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or trying to make sense of something, we can take it one step at a time together.
My approach is collaborative and flexible. I draw from CBT, person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based practices, but more importantly, I focus on what actually feels helpful for you. Some days that might look like talking things through, and other days it might be building tools to help you feel more grounded and in control.
I’ve supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. I work with children (10+), youth, and adults, and I’m mindful of creating a space that feels comfortable and supportive for wherever you are in life.
As a person, I tend to lead with empathy, curiosity, and calmness. I care about understanding your experience, not just what’s happening on the surface, but what’s underneath it too. I don’t believe in rushing the process or forcing change. I believe in creating a space where things can unfold in a way that feels safe and meaningful to you.
What it’s like to work with me
Working together is meant to feel supportive, not overwhelming. You can expect a space where you’re able to speak openly, take your time, and explore things at your own pace.
I’ll meet you with understanding and curiosity, while also gently helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing. When it feels helpful, we can bring in practical tools and strategies but there’s no pressure to have everything “fixed.” This is a space for both processing and growth.
Some sessions may feel like a place to release what you’ve been holding in, while others may focus on building insight, patterns, or ways to move forward. We move at a pace that feels right for you.
